Yup!~ There's way to recolor sprites in GIMP!~ Not just sprites either, but nearly any image you can think of! =D Its extremely easy as well... anyway, this guide below, written by Wishjirachi will teach you how to recolor on GIMP!

The Guide starts here!

  1. Okie, first of all, you'll need to decide on an image/sprite that you'd like to recolor on GIMP!~ Once you find your image right-click and copy it. Then go onto GIMP, and Right-click --> Edit --> Paste your picture in!

  2. Now that you've pasted your image in, go up to the "Colors" tab near the top of the screen. Click on it. Then click on the option "Colorize".
  3. After clicking Colorize, a window should pop-up. It should look like the preview below. Grab the slider on the "Hue" option, and slide it in either direction, until you get the color you need. Then click the "Ok" button when you're finished.
  4. Okie, now you should be finished!~ What color did you choose? I slided the Hue slider up near the purples section, and this was my result!
  5. So now you learnt how to recolor an image/sprite in GIMP! I hope you enjoyed and learnt something from this tutorial!
