Pokemon Yellow Review

Hiya there! This is a review of Pokemon Yellow written by CDB Water! Hope you enjoy~ <3

Pokemon Yellow Version: Special Pikachu Edition, most often known as Pokemon Yellow Version, is the third Pokemon game released worldwide. First being Pokemon Red and Blue. I loved Pokemon Yellow ^_^! Its such a good game. But anyways, its is Similar to Pokmon Red and Blue, like its in Kanto. You go after the gyms(like ever other Pokemon main series game) but there is some new things that they added but thats for later on in this review. Now, on with the review! =D

STORY 8/10

Pokemon Yellow's story is surprisingly different then the other Pokemon games. Unlike the other Pokemon games, Yellow was inspired by the anime, so instead of having a choice between Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle, the player is forced to start off with a Pikachu that Professor Oak caught on Route 1(witch is really cool ^_^). With the rival beginning with an Eevee, that was supposed to be yours. But you rival go to it before you did. One of the awesome things in this game is that your Pikachu follows you! Yep, its awesome! Also, you can turn around and talk to it and sees how much it likes you. But just like in the anime, your Pikachu don't like you too much but by the time you reach Pewter City, your Pikachu should really like you! I bet your wondering if you can get the three starters, well we will get into that later on in this review! XD

CHANGES FROM POKEMON RED AND BLUE 10/10

EPIC! There is not that much changes but there is still a few that I haven't told you about. My favorite change is that you can get the three starter Pokemon later on in the game. You can get Charmander from a trainer on Route 24, you can get Bulbasaur from a girl in Cerulean City if Pikachu's happiness is high enough(it's the house next to the Pokemon Center, and you just have to use like 20 Potions on Pikachu to make its happiness high), and you can get Squirtle from the Officer Jenny in Vermilion City after receiving the Thunder Badge. Jessie and James appear and are involved in Team Rocket's scheme, and typically appear before the player battles Giovanni. Pikachu will refuse to evolve. So you can not get a Raichu in Pokemon Yellow. The Pikachu that Professor Oak gave you is the only one you can get in the game. Thats pretty much all the changes from Red and Blue. Like I said this game is EPIC! XD

MUSIC 7/10

There isn't much to say about the music just that it's like every other Pokemon main series games. It is pretty good. That pretty much all I can say. ^_^

GAMEPLAY 9/10

Yes, I know. In this game it's a little different. But theres not that much changes to it. So like every other Pokemon main series games, the gameplay is really good. ^_^

SUMMARY

Pokemon Yellow is a really awesome game. If you don't have it I would go and try to find it! Its that good of a game. Make sure you come back to Kasumi for more Pokemon video games reviews and more! ^_^
