Pokemon Food Rant

There are no animals in the Pokemon World, right? Then what do they eat? With some Pokemon, it has actually been confirmed that they are eaten! According to the anime, Farfetch'd are rare because of over-hunting them--for food! The other few are Miltank's milk and the fruit that hangs around Tropius's neck, and in Diamond, Pearl, ans Platinum, there is a book in Canalave City that states that Magikarp are used for food! Yet we never see people eating Pokemon, even when they are actually eating, like with Team Rocket! So what DO they prepare? Exeggcute Salad Sandwiches? Roast Spoink? Miltank Burgers? Or something else? Either way, we will never know whether or not vegetarians rule the Pokemon World.
